Behind the Lens, Beyond the Ordinary
Before I became a photographer, I was quietly shaping a life full of unconventional experiences — running an international travel agency before college, collaborating behind the scenes at a small opera house in Santa Barbara, working with global luxury brands, assisting a Fortune 500, and consulting with other photographers. Each chapter taught me how creativity, strategy, and human energy combine to create work that leaves a lasting impact. Some of these stories are best told in conversation — the kind that leave people inspired, curious, and a little awed.
For the past 20 years, I’ve run my own photography studio, partnering with brands, businesses, and individuals to create imagery that is authentic, purposeful, and unforgettable. Along the way, I’ve trained associates from the ground up into premier photographers, coached clients, led teams, homeschooled my children, practiced yoga for three decades, and co-owned a boutique hotel in Costa Rica. Every experience reinforces the same truth: sustainable success comes from alignment — between purpose, presence, and creative flow.
My Path, My Perspective
Life in the studio has always been a blend of creativity, curiosity, and connection. Surrounded by cameras, light, and the small chaos of family life — now a mom of three, always lots of fur babies — I’ve learned that the moments that matter most are often the unscripted ones. It’s in these spaces that ideas take shape, intuition leads the way, and lasting work is born.
Intuition has been a constant companion throughout my life — loud, persistent, and impossible to ignore. I first wrote about it in college, and every chapter since has shown me its power: guiding difficult decisions, shaping relationships, and steering careers toward opportunities that matter. There are countless moments I could share — some involving high-profile clients, others personal or unexpected — each revealing how trusting that inner voice can transform challenges into clarity.
Over the years, I’ve translated this balance of discipline and presence into every project I touch, every team I guide, and every client I mentor. My path hasn’t been about chasing the loudest opportunities, but about cultivating the environments where people, ideas, and creativity can thrive — always guided by intuition, always aligned with purpose.
Here, in the quiet energy of the studio, is where my perspective was shaped — a perspective I now share through mentorship, speaking, and collaboration, inviting others to trust their own instincts as they build meaningful, lasting work.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
My approach to mentorship is grounded and collaborative — a blend of strategy, intuition, and creative clarity. I listen deeply, ask the right questions, and offer actionable guidance shaped by two decades of lived experience.
Each session or collaboration is tailored to your goals — whether that’s refining your visual identity, navigating growth with grace, or reigniting your creative spark.
Visual Pairing Ideas:
A close-up of you journaling or mood-boarding.
A behind-the-scenes shot at a brand session.
A still of you laughing or talking with a client — natural and human.
Why This Matters
Leadership in the creative world isn’t about volume; it’s about presence.
You don’t have to be the loudest voice to make a lasting impact — you just have to be true to your own rhythm.
My work as a mentor and speaker is an invitation to reconnect with what’s real — your vision, your purpose, your power — and to build from there.
