This elegant tented wedding, later featured in Inside Weddings, brought together Oklahoma legacy and Dallas sophistication in a celebration that felt both grand and deeply personal. The morning beauty and getting-ready moments, styled flawlessly by hair and makeup artist Maitee Miles, set the tone for a day that reflected both tradition and timeless elegance. Rooted in collegiate connections and shaped by a life lived between Norman and Dallas, the celebration showcased a seamless blend of both worlds.

A Tented Ceremony on the Golf Green at The Ritz-Carlton Las Colinas

The ceremony unfolded beneath a custom tent set directly on the sweeping golf green at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas. Surrounded by expansive fairways and open sky, the setting felt both grand and intimate.

The ceremony space featured sculptural white florals, gold-leaf accents, and a dramatic calla lily chandelier installation suspended overhead. The tented structure transformed the landscape into a refined architectural moment while preserving the softness of the outdoor setting.

What made this celebration especially meaningful was the Oklahoma legacy woven throughout the day. With strong ties to the University of Oklahoma and a life built between Oklahoma and Texas, the wedding honored both communities effortlessly.

Now based in Norman — just blocks from the University of Oklahoma campus — I photograph weddings throughout Oklahoma and Dallas each year. While much of my 20+ year career was established in Dallas and expanded into destination celebrations across England, the Bahamas, Mexico, Napa Valley, Pebble Beach, Santa Barbara, and Aspen, returning to Oklahoma has allowed me to serve couples whose lives naturally move between these two states.

For many families, Dallas and Norman are deeply connected — through university ties, business, athletics, and generational roots. This wedding reflected that beautifully.
